Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has heaped praise on goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga following the club’s 4-0 win over Everton in the Premier League on Sunday. The Spain international had fallen out-of-favour for the goalkeeping role over the past month but he has recently redeemed himself with back-to-back clean sheets in all competitions.
The west London giants have failed to win back-to-back league games since the previous international break but they have still managed to stay in the top four for an extended period of time. The 4-0 win over the Toffees has maintained their three-point gap over fifth-placed Manchester United and Lampard will be hoping that the club can build a winning run hereafter to enhance their Champions League prospects for next season.
The Capital outfit are scheduled to face Bayern Munich on the road in the midweek Champions League game. The Blues are already trailing 3-0 after the opening leg of the round of 16 stage and they would require at least three clear goals at the Allianz Arena to take the Champions League tie beyond normal time.
